    ADJUDICATION

    of the Complaints Commission of the Press Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina

    on the complaint from Mineco Limited and Gross Ltd. regarding the article published on the portal etrafika.net on 09.07.2015, under the title “The RS Government gave a Concession for a Worse Offer to a Company in the Middle of Corruption Scandals”


    COMPLAINT NOT UPHELD
    Press Code not breached

    The denial to the article was properly published

    The article in question was published on 09.07.2015. The complainants sent a denial after the publishing of the article which the editorial staff of the portal etrafika.net published in continuation of their article.

    The Complaints Commission finds that the complainants were given the opportunity to deny everything they found to be inaccurate in the article. Thus the editorial staff acted professionally, enabling the complainants to state their arguments, in accordance with Article 7 - Opportunity to Reply and Article 5 - Accuracy and Fair Reporting, Paragraph 4 of the Press Code of BiH.

    Therefore the Complaints Commission finds no breach of the Press Code. The Commission, within its mandate, adjudicates on violations of the Press Cod of BiH. Only the editorial staff of a media, can decide whether to remove an article or not, in accordance with its editorial policy.
