    76th Session of the Complaints Commission of the Press Council in BiH, 15.10.2017

    The session of the Complaints commission of the Press Council in BiH will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017.

    The Press Council in BiH received a total of 63 complaints since the last session.


    During the session, eleven (11) complaints will be considered, received in the period July-October 2017.

    In this period, the Press Council received twenty five (25) complaints that were resolved through self-regulation, i.e. by publication of a denial, reaction, correction or apology, or by the removal of articles containing hate speech, incitement and discrimination.

    9 complaints are still in procedure; in 10 cases the complainants withdrew from further proceeding, while 6 complaints received were outside of the Press Council in BiH’s jurisdiction, as they regarded content published on blogs and electronic media - radio or television.

    The session will be attended by the members of the Complaints Commission: Prof. Miodrag Zivanovic PhD, Attorney Drazen Zubak, Attorney Nada Dalipagic, Prof. Enes Osmancevic PhD, Editor Fuad Kovacevic, Jouranlist Milan Sutalo, Jouranlist Muhamed Jusic, Docent Zlatiborka Popov Momcinovic PhD and Journalist Suzana Mijatovic.

    The Adjudications of the Complaints Commission are public. They are sent to the editorial staff and the complainant for review and permanently posted on the website, www.vzs.ba, Facebook, http://www.facebook.com/VijeceZaStampuBiH, and Twitter page of the Press Council in BiH, https://twitter.com/VZSuBiH.
